Our homework help program is effective because it is built upon continuity and relationship-building . We build consistent relationships between individual students and their tutors so that accountability and mentoring are a natural outgrowth of the developing relationship. Through these relationships, our volunteers are showing Christ's love to their students.
We focus on education because many of our students enter school already behind their peers. Kindergarten through 12th grade students are supported by a volunteer who encourages them as they complete their homework. Attending Project Purpose provides students with extra practice in reading, math, and other subject areas.
Our greatest need is always for volunteer homework helpers. When you serve with Project Purpose, you will be paired with a student who you will work with one-on-one. If you are most comfortable with elementary aged students, that's who you will serve. If you love high schoolers we will pair you with one of those!
We offer our volunteers a tremendous amount of support and encouragement. When you serve, you are joining a team of volunteers who have the same mission as you- to meet the educational and spiritual needs of a low-income student.
We trust that God will use you to impact the life of your student and his or her family.

Sharing with the low-income students and families of Pottstown Christ's unique purpose for their lives by providing educational supports and mentoring relationships.
Description
Project Purpose is a faith based ministry that works with low-income, at-risk students in Pottstown. Project Purpose provides an opportunity for volunteers to serve these students, while sharing with them God's love.
Project Purpose serves over 90 low-income, kindergarten-12th grade students. Many of the students served by Project Purpose live in the community of Rolling Hills, a low-income housing developement in Pottstown, PA. Project Purpose is a free service to these students.
Our students are hungry for volunteers to enter their lives to support them in their school work. At the elementary level, our students are in need of volunteers to read with them, laugh with them, and do math with them. At the secodary level, our students are in need of volunteers who tell them that school matters and that they can do the work.
Our Students are hungry for God's never-ending love.
Project Purpose offers after school homework help, parent educational involvement supports, youth mentoring, and a community garden.Project Purpose works out of Coventry Christian Schools.
