Bring joy to Good Shepherd hospice patients with pet therapy visits! Your dog must have received at least Canine Good Citizen, or equivalent certification, or beyond.
Our award-winning hospice offers comprehensive volunteer training and ongoing support. Volunteers & their pet therapy dogs, are a valued part of our organization. Friendly pet therapy visits are greatly appreciated by our patients and their families. Join us and help improve our patients' quality of life.
Our next training starts at the end of April 2022.
Our office is in Newton, but our patients reside in the greater Boston area. For information, please contact Mindy Sieber, at msieber@gscommunitycare.org. Check our website to print out a volunteer application.
Due to Covid-19 precautions we have not been visiting patients in person. We expect to resume in-person visits in the coming months. Our next training will start at the end of April 2022. Please contact us if you are interested.
Thank you! We look forward to hearing from you!
