Seeking Volunteers to mail encouraging cards to patients and families at least 1x a month. Also seeking a Volunteer who would like to visit patients in the nursing homes to offer companionship. We are open to new ideas on how we can bring joy to our patients lives. Our Volunteers visit patients, mail letters to patients, or help out with our Pet Therapy program. We keep our Volunteers safe by having a close relationship with excellent communication for any weather or health status for safety of our Volunteers and Patients.

Description
Pruitt Health Hospice of Valdosta Volunteer Program strives to help our end of life patients through kindness and creative ideas. We strive to offer comfort to every patient and/or family whom we serve. Our goal is to not only offer emotional support and kindness to our patients; but to also help the community to see the gift of giving with hospice.
We have a team of Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Chaplaines, Social Workers, Marketer, and Volunteers. We offer internships to students and try to help students learn skills for experience.
We do an annual tie-dye event with our patients for a day of fun, annual Senior Paws for a Senior Cause: bring rescue animals to visit our patients who love pets.
