Seeking Volunteers to mail encouraging cards to patients and families at least 1x a month. Also, seeking Volunteers to help 1x a month with putting together floral arrangements and deliver flowers to patients to brighten their day. Need help with other creative crafts in the office that will go to our patients (build a bird feeder project for nursing home patients, make candles for our grieving, put together goodie bags, etc.). Also seeking a Volunteer or intern to help offer emotional support by phone (due to covid restrictions) to families of patients and/or to offer extra support to our grieving families. This person needs to be able to work independently. May be able to make calls from your home or the office. No experience needed for any Volunteer opportunities as we can train as needed.

Description

Pruitt Health Hospice of Valdosta Volunteer Program strives to help our end of life patients through kindness and creative ideas. We strive to offer comfort to every patient and/or family whom we serve. Our goal is to not only offer emotional support and kindness to our patients; but to also help the community to see the gift of giving with hospice.
We have a team of Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Chaplaines, Social Workers, Marketer, and Volunteers. We offer internships to students and try to help students learn skills for experience.
We do an annual tie-dye event with our patients for a day of fun, annual Senior Paws for a Senior Cause: bring rescue animals to visit our patients who love pets.
