The Riverside Arts Center offers, promotes, and nurtures a dynamic arts and cultural environment in Southeast Michigan through arts education, performing arts, and visual arts activities designed to engage and serve the community. We are currently seeking volunteers to help facilitate summer camp at our Ypsilanti arts center. This volunteer is responsible for working under the direction of our Camp Director and the Operations Manager to provide hands-on support.
Responsibilities
- Assist program leaders with group management
- Help keep students engaged and on-task
- Provide encouragement and support to students in their creative process
- Short-distance errands such as picking up art supplies, as needed
- Other related tasks, including stocking art supplies and clean up, as needed.
Requirements
- Background check completed
- Driver's license
- Follow Riverside's guidelines
- Must have proof of vaccinations
- Training as needed
- A creative mind
- A community-oriented, teamwork attitude
- A respectful and playful demeanor
- Punctuality, reliability and impeccable follow through
- Simultaneously detail oriented and able to see bigger pictures
- Emotionally Intuitive

The Riverside Arts Center offers, promotes, and nurtures dynamic arts and cultural programs through arts education, performing arts, visual and fine arts activities that serve and engage the community in Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, and the surrounding area.
Vision
The Riverside Arts Center offers diverse and high-quality arts programming that makes a positive contribution to the image, culture, education, and economic development of the Ypsilanti community. A hub of artistic ventures, Riverside Arts Center produces and hosts various fine and performing artist activities in an accessible facility that includes a theater, art galleries, dance studio, artist studios, and classrooms. With a primary focus on the Ypsilanti community, Riverside Arts Center provides artistic programming for Washtenaw County and the surrounding area.
