ORGANIZATION: Musicians On Call

Musicians On Call is a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. Help deliver the healing power of music!

Volunteer Musician at Seacrest Studios

MOC's Virtual Program at Seacrest Studios is a 30-45 minute performance that is broadcast live from the hospital's studio to patient rooms. While most patients watch from their beds, some children who are healthy enough may come down to watch in the studio. Musicians will play 8-10 hospital and kid-friendly songs. Patients can call-in to ask questions and interact with the musician in between songs. Each virtual program is led by the on-site Seacrest Studio Manager.

MOC's orientation process includes the following:

  • application
  • phone interview
  • handbook, orientation, and quiz
  • background check & confidentiality agreement

Volunteer Musicians must also shadow at least one virtual program before they perform for their first show at Seacrest Studios. After completion of training, volunteers commit to volunteering once a month for at least one year.

We currently offer programs on Mondays at 11am or 2pm.
