On average, the Red Cross responds to approximately 64,000 disasters a year. Of these, about 50,000 are single- and multi-family fires and other localized events to which disaster action teams respond. Fulfill the Red Cross mission to provide relief to victims of disaster, large and small, and to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies by becoming a Disaster Action Team (DAT) Member. As a DAT member, you will be able to provide services to families at their worst moment by providing funds for a place to stay, food, clothing, and recovery.
