We need help staffing our career fair on June 8th in Forest Hills. Please join us to help those in need.

Here are the positions we need filled:

Greeters ( 5)

  • Greet job seekers and check them into the job fair
  • Give each job seeker a copy of the agenda and employer participation list
  • Direct clients to orientation area, computer lab or restroom, depending on their individual needs
Computer Lab Monitors (2)
  • Assist clients in printing their resume
  • Ensure that clients are not printing more than 15 copies at a time
  • Replenish copier/printer with paper or toner, whenever necessary
Food Servers/ Runners (2)
  • Assist clients and employers in obtaining food, water etc.

Commonpoint Queens is a non-profit, multi-service agency with flagship sites in Little Neck, Bayside, Forest Hills, and 33 additional sites throughout the community that provides a diverse array of programs and services to over 35,000 people. Since our inception, almost 60 years ago, the Samuel Field Y has been dedicated to the core element of our mission - enhancing the quality of individual, family and communal life through service to people of all ages, ability levels, stages of life and backgrounds.

Description

For almost 60 years, Commonpoint Queens (formerly The Samuel Field and Central Queens YMWHA) has remained strong and vital and has continued to provide new and innovative programs to the greater Northeast Queens and Western Nassau communities.

As we embark on our sixth decade of providing high quality programs and services to our community, individuals of all ages learn and flourish within a caring and supportive environment at one of our 36 different sites throughout our neighborhoods.

We continue to provide life enhancing and life sustaining services to the over 35,000 people who depend on us to be their community center at each stage of their lives.
