Description: As a receptionist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside staff by talking to guests who call in, helping answer their questions and much more. This is a great position for volunteers who want to work indoors and in an office environment.

Commitment: 1 day a week for a minimum of 1 month

Shift: 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm

Scheduling: Monday or Friday

Uniform: Business Casual

Volunteers are vital to the operation of the Lake Wales Arts Center. Volunteer contributions play a vital role in the success of our programs and the comfort and experience of our visitors.

Description

It was the mission of the late Michael Crews, an attorney; Mary Combs and Marilyn Newell, community volunteers and arts patrons; Marie Kirch and Milford Myhre, carillonneur at Bok Tower Gardens, to provide a central organization for the sponsorship and encouragement of cultural and educational activities in the area.

The Lake Wales Arts Center contains two state-of-the-art classrooms, a 5,000 sqft art gallery, and a 350 seat concert hall. We host an array of education and performance opportunities for our community, including a new Education Initiative, Performance Series, Steinway Piano Series, Art Lecture Series, and BRAVO! Series.
