Being a volunteer, you get to pick your own opportunities. During the process of getting you established as a volunteer, we will give you a preference sheet that you will fill out and we will match you with a patient that best fits your interests. There isn't a minimum amount of time that you must volunteer for, it can be a few minutes or a few hours, it is all up to you. All time spent volunteering will count towards administrative or clinical hours that we can sign off on. You will have the opportunity to meet veterans and other amazing people with incredible life stories while being a volunteer. We would love to see you be apart of this great team!

Mission Statement

It takes a specail person to volunteer for Hospice patients. Right now we are looking for people to visit with our patients, maybe read them a book, go on walks, talk about their life history or even just sit with them. We want to make every day meaningful and easy for them. Even though we cant change the outcome, we can affect the journey. That is our mission at Encompass and we would love to see you be apart of something great.

Description

Volunteers are the heart of hospice, it started in the 1960's with volunteers to take care of the elderly who needed extra care. Over the years volunteers have continued that tradition. Encompass has been around for many years and this company stretches across the US. Our goal is to make the patients transition as comfortable and easy as possible, we provide around the clock care with Doctors, Nurses, CNA's, chaplains, social workers, bereavement counselors and of course volunteers.
