The Color of Law Center is looking for a Part-time Communications Coordinator.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience and build your resume. We are looking for reliable, dedicated people who want to affect change and give a voice to the voiceless.

The Color of Law Center is launching Visual Art & Book Tour about judicial abuse against voiceless americans, the poor, the disabled, the marginalized americans. We need your help! We need help with getting the word out, talking to the media and letting the world knows these judicial abuse victims stories. People are dying due to judicial abuse, and nobody seems to care especially the people who are paid to care.

The Visual Art & Book Tour called "Voice to the Voiceless Presents: Nevertheless, She Persisted Book Launch"

July 11, 2018, at Busboy and Poets 5th & K St Washington DC 20001

The Communications Coordinator will work with the Director of Philanthropy to successfully support CLC communications - press, philanthropic and media. Along with administrative duties, this position is balanced with the opportunity to learn substantive non-profit management skills in philanthropy, communications, and marketing strategy and execution.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • College degree or experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to learn and master new communication formats quickly.
  • Ability to generate and implement new, creative ideas to communicate mission.
  • Proficiency with web-based design applications, and Internet research required.
  • Organized, efficient, reliable and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
  • Skilled at and enthusiastic about building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with online communication tools, including Email Campaigns, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • A desire to problem solve and think creatively.
  • Ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds, training, and experience.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and a commitment to CLC’s mission.

Description

The Color of Law Center and the voice to voiceless art series campaign gives a voice to vulnerable Americans who rights are exploited due to their disability status and economic status. Judge Ehrlich abuse of a disabled woman on April 15, 2018, who died due to this Judge abuse is NOT the exception but the w ay of life for disabled Americans. The Color of Law Center goal is to stop judicial abuse through arts- art has a unique power to bring people together and to promote change.
