We were fortunate to receive two grants in 2018 that allow us to purchase items from the Bishop's Storehouse - household items, fresh produce, hygiene items, canned and boxed food items, and diapers, all for refugee clients. These items are placed in the new apartment for the refugee clients before they arrive, distributed to clients when they attend adult skill building classes at the office, given to clients during home visits or special training classes such as Financial Literacy. The products need to be sorted on a monthly basis after the pick up occurs. You can help one time or choose a re-occurring monthly schedule. Great for a small group to do together! Come to the office and package and sort together. Some light lifting required.
