Career Coaching
Volunteers assisting out students with resumes.

Opportunity:
We are in need of caring professionals who are willing to donate their time to help our students reach their full potential. Two Mondays each month, we need volunteers to spend two hours guiding our students through the process of creating their resumes. If you have a passion for empowering our youth and are excited about assisting students during such a pivotal time in their lives, please email Nina Winstead at NWinstead@texanscan.org to sign up.

Background:
Texans Can Academies offers a second chance to students who have struggled in a traditional high school setting.

It is our mission to provide every student with the opportunity to pursue their dreams while removing barriers that keep them from attaining their education. From daycare services to clothing, eyeglasses and other basic human needs, we provide solutions for our students.

Our learning methods and nurturing environment empower our students to be lifelong thinkers, ensuring their path to economic independence.

We have a unique network of 13 charter schools across Texas that are tuition-free, open enrollment, public high schools of choice, welcoming students from all walks of life.

An education from Texans Can Academies transforms students, graduating thinkers who positively impact our community, changing their mentality from surviving to thriving.

Requirements:
- Over 21 years of age
- willing to do a background check
- commit to a 6 month span (two Mondays a month so 12 total visits)
