Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer:
Interim Hospice is striving to implement Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers to serve Veteran's at the end of life. The Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer position is essential as Veteran Volunteers have the unique ability to relate and connect with Hospice Patient's who are Veterans. Veteran Volunteers can create an environment where life review and healing may occur. Interim Hospice provides the training and support to Veteran volunteers to promote end of life care and provide dignity to our Veteran Patients.

Veteran Volunteers Activities:

Provide companionship
Assist Veterans in reminiscing/telling life stories
Educate and assist Patients in receiving Veteran benefits
Take part in pinning ceremonies or distributing certificates for Veterans Day
Assist in replacing "lost" medals
