Share basic computer and social media skills to seniors and persons with disabilities residents at Coppermine Place Apartments, one of Wesley Housing's affordable living community in Herndon, VA. This volunteer opportunity is ideal for college students on summer break or tech savvy individuals with daytime/weekday availability.
Plan and teach basic instruction one-on-one or small group computer lab setting including:
- Keyboard & computer navigation
- Internet access and usage
- Email account set up
- Social Media orientation, i.e. Facebook, Twitter
- Basic Microsoft Office applications
One class weekly for 1 hour. 4-6 consecutive sessions starting mid-June. Flexible Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, social media, and email accounts. Resumes welcomed.
