OneOC hosts RSVP volunteers in local Orange County nonprofits to ensure that those most in need of education, food security, food delivery and employment receive the help they need most. RSVP volunteers choose where and how often they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours a month to 40 hours per week.

About RSVP Program Station: School on Wheels mission is to provide one on one personalized tutoring to students experiencing homelessness in Orange County. Due to COVID-19, we are currently conducting tutoring via virtual learning only.
Location: Virtual Learning
Volunteer Opportunity: School on Wheels is looking for volunteers with the following passion/experience:
- Looking for tutors that can connect on a personal level with students, understanding that life skill mentorship may also be required to achieve success.
- Familiarity with virtual technology programs like Zoom a plus, comfortable with learning various Districts online programs students for digital learning/individualized education plans. We do provide step-by-step training and you will have a dedicated volunteer support coordinator throughout the school year.
- Volunteers need to have flexibility in meeting times with students. Expectation is to tutor a student for an hour a week, or more if the student is able and your availability allows for more tutoring time!
- Bilingual is needed, but not required.
Hours of Volunteer Service: RSVP volunteers may serve 1-40 hours weekly. Monday - Friday (some Saturday events, if needed)
*This is a volunteer non-paid opportunity.
Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible to participate as an RSVP Volunteer, the candidate must be age 55 or older and complete a RSVP online registration.
