The Workforce Readiness Program at United South End Settlements ensures that our neighbors have access to the education and opportunities they need to move toward economic self-sufficiency.

The Training for Office Jobs course is designed to help low skilled and low-wage workers improve their technology and retention related skills, enabling them to transition into administrative work upon completion of the program. Participants will gain the necessary skills for administrative work, including typing and Microsoft Office; soft skills such as time management, worker accountability, goal setting, customer service and problem solving; job readiness and job searching skills.

Technology tutors will provide crucial support to the Training for Office Jobs program, working directly with our adult learners to supplement their classroom learning. They will serve in the classrooms under the direction and supervision of our Technology Education Instructor, and tutor our students one-on-one in MIcrosoft Office and Excel. They will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and directly impact their capacity for success. Individuals interested in this position, should be comfortable with technology and have working proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), students should also be comfortable and patient when teaching adults.
