Our agency is looking for volunteers to help with the marketing area of our local non-profit. The Marketing department team of volunteers' tasks will include, but not be limited to:

- Developing and looking for content
- Creating campaign ideas
- Finding evidence-based research
- In - office help

We are looking for a creative volunteer interested in communications who is able to work independently and as a team member.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Alliance Against Family Violence & Sexual Assault is to stop domestic violence and sexual assault in Kern County and assist survivors in reclaiming their lives. Our purpose as an agency is to make a difference in our community by providing expertise in dealing with domestic violence and sexual assault and ensuring the safety and well-being of victims and their children by providing services that address their individual needs and prepare them for self-sufficiency.

Description

The Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault serves women, men, teens, and children who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Services include:

24-Hour Crisis Hotline, Self-Defense Classes once a month, 24-Hour Hospital Accompaniment, Legal Advocacy, Emergancy housing, Case management, Individual Counseling and Group Counseling. Volunteer opportunities include: tabling at health fairs, presentations to the community, 24-hour hotline, sexual assault response team, human trafficking victims advocate, case management, and many more.
