Description
Jovenes, Inc. helps youth ages 18 - 25. We provide an innovative program of
stable housing options, compassionate care, life skills training, and employment support to young
adults seeking a path to life change. As a hands-on leader and innovator focused on permanent
solutions to end the cycle of homelessness, Jovenes continues to grow through construction and
renovation of existing homes in the neighborhoods we serve. Our housing model includes
supportive short term and permanent housing designed to create a home-like atmosphere for those
we serve. Our programs are designed to take youth off the streets and move them into their own
apartments as they develop healthy living skills, increase their income, go back to school, and
identify career pathways. We have found that once youth have a steady roof over their head and a
connection to a support structure of caring individuals, they are able to continue their development
into self-sufficient adults. Our campus is located in Boyle Heights, a low-income neighborhood in
Los Angeles. We are the only organization in our community that provides this level of services
and programs for homeless youth.
