Volunteers filling this position will join the staff in keeping the Circulation Room’s shelves as empty as possible. It’s the only place in the library we want to keep that way, because the fewer items in the Circ Room, the more there are on the shelf for patrons!
As a Circ Room Assistant, you will come in at a regular time, at least once a week, to shelve items and materials that the staff needs to get out ASAP! This will ensure that the patrons are able to find books on the shelf instead of looking for something that may be in the back.
This position is very flexible, since you get to choose the time best for you to come in. However, we do want our volunteers to try and commit to the same time slot every week-that way, if we get behind, we know when backup is on the way!

Our Volunteer Program is being remade entirely to recruit those who have a desire to give back to the community. It is a new program with high goals, which we hope to reach with the community's help. We aim to enlist the help of volunteers on a regular basis in order to allow operations run more smoothly.
