Companionship
When you have so much to share, there’s so much you can do to help another — from something as simple as whispering a kind word to lending a helping hand to a family. There are many hospice volunteer opportunities with Good Shepherd Hospice that provide support in a variety of areas.

Are you 16 years of age? Are you interested in earning Volunteer Service Hours during your summer break?

Good Shepherd Hospice is looking for some additional help on several week day, evening and weekend shifts to assist with welcoming visitors, escorting them to the patient room, answer phones, and other clerical duties as needed.

Candidates must attend a 9-12 hour training session, commit to having a TB test, and agree to be finger printed.

For those interested in a career in healthcare, this is a wonderful way to interact with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other clinicians who provide service to our patients. Volunteers at Good Shepherd Hospice are part of our care team and take an active role in providing service to our patients and families.
