Do you love hanging out at farmer's markets? Then this is the opportunity for you! The SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) allows folks to use their aid dollars to buy healthy, locally produced food at farmer's markets.
This opportunity involves sitting at our SNAP booth at the Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmer's Market and taking the clients card and converting it into tokens that they can use to pay the market vendor. We'll be at the Cedar Rapids markets on the following Saturdays:
May 26, June 2, June 16, July 7, July 21, August 4, August 18, September 1. The market goes from 7:30 am to noon so we'll be breaking that time period into two shifts.
Please contact Sandy Rosenberger at srosenberger@horizonsfamily.org or call (319) 375-3108 for questions or more information!
