Camp Goodtimes - Canadian Cancer Society

Lifeguard volunteers are needed at Camp Goodtimes, a camp for children and youth with cancer and their families.

Lifeguard volunteers work with a team that delivers all waterfront programming. Activities include swimming, instructing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. When lifeguards are not on the water, they are engaging with kids and families, and help make the magic of camp a reality. This is a great position for volunteers who have their NLS certification and enjoy leading programming to a wide variety of ages. Volunteers must be 19 years of age and older and must be available to attend a training weekend on June 2nd and 3rd at Loon Lake near Maple Ridge BC.

Join us for one week between July 3rd and August 4th at beautiful Loon Lake and create a magical summer experience for children, youth and families.

Description

The Canadian Cancer Society was officially formed in 1938, but the seeds for the Society were planted back in 1929 when the Saskatchewan Medical Association formed the country’s first cancer committee.

Today, the Society is the largest national charitable funder of cancer research in Canada. The Society makes more impact, against more cancers, in more communities, than any other cancer charity in Canada.

With your help, we can change what it means to have cancer. In the future, we will be able to successfully treat it, better manage it or outright prevent it, so no Canadian has to fear this disease.

Help save the lives of those who mean the most to you by becoming a volunteer or a donor today.
