ORGANIZATION: WaterFire Providence

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

WaterFire’s "set" is constructed starting at 6:00am each event day - but what goes up, must come down! Volunteers join forces with WaterFire staff to disassemble receptions, electrical, haul trash, park boats and other important details.

Volunteers are not required to stay for the entirety of this shift, but many hands make light work! Any help offered for this challenge is greatly appreciated.

Mission Statement

WaterFire Providence's mission is to inspire Providence and its visitors by revitalizing the urban experience, fostering community engagement, and creatively transforming the city by presenting WaterFire for all to enjoy.

Description

WaterFire Providence Brings Art to the Community, by the Community

WaterFire Providence is known for the lightings that take place downtown with local artists and food vendors. We hope to get back to lightings downtown later this year but for now our main focus is the WaterFire Arts Center (WFAC)! Since the pandemic WaterFire continued to create art for the community, by the community at the WFAC.

WaterFire Providence Volunteers are an integral part of every event we host. They assist in all aspects of event production, special projects, and anything else we dream up.

Volunteers build, perform, inspire, engage, and enjoy! WaterFire volunteers come from all walks of life, and we appreciate the diversity and talents that are among them. Over the years, a network of volunteers has been established, and we are delighted at the community that they have become.

Begin your volunteer experience with WaterFire Providence by signing up now on our Volunteer HQ.
