Program Development/Outreach Committee
Committee Purposes:
- Develop a broad range of new programming ideas and outreach models and methods, based on community needs and available resources.
- Create new and enhanced programming content to provide consistent, accurate and actionable up-to-date information and resources for the PD community.
- Develop such new program content for PWPs, caregivers, families and general community educational purposes (in order to, among other things, decrease perceived PD stigma and increase participation by PWP in general community activities).
- Endeavor to create "out-of-the-box" programs in order to reach portions of the PD community which are not traditionally represented at existing PF GR programs or events (including, but not limited to, with respect to age, gender, ethnicity and race).
- Develop and foster long-term partnerships and ongoing collaborations with other organizations in order to maximize PF GR program reach (including, but not limited to, with not-for-profits, PD organizations, other disease organizations, etc.).
- Work closely and collaboratively with the PF GR Program Delivery Committee to ensure seamless integration and timely implantation of new programming developed by the Committee.
Volunteers Needed:
Creative, proactive and enthusiastic people associated with the PD community (PWP, care partners, family members, etc.) willing to share their ideas in an open environment and who are committed to helping all those connected with the PD community live their best lives.
Time Commitment:
One hour monthly meetings (except December and August). Approximately 1-4 hours additional hour time commitment per month is also anticipated.
