Want to be a part of reducing food waste, while also helping those in need in your community?
We are looking for someone to help us pick up donated food from local grocery stores and bring it back to the one of the Merrick Food Shelves in St. Paul or Maplewood to distribute to the community.
We are looking for help on the following mornings:
Tuesday St. Paul
Wednesday Maplewood
Thursday Maplewood
The time is flexible, though we typically begin the route around 7:30 am. The stores are predetermined and we even provide the van to pick it up!
There is some heavy lifting involved, up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Want to do it as a team? Feel free to bring someone along to help with loading the food!
No experience necessary, we will teach you everything you need to know about the pick up, drop off, and everything in between. We are looking for someone who can commit to a weekly shift, though we are always flexible. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
