Harvesters is seeking dedicated volunteer drivers to assist with delivering orders to hospital systems and economic mobility partners and picking up food donations at businesses and grocery stores throughout the Kansas City metro area using Harvesters' cargo van.

Commitment:

• Volunteer a minimum of once a week for a 3-4 hour shift for six months.
• This is a weekly commitment; volunteers are asked to select at least one day a week to drive for us.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drop off food orders to health and economic mobility partners
• Pick up food donations
• Unload donation items as needed

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years old
• Pass a background check
• Have a clean driving record
• Commitment to the mission of Harvesters
• Adhere to all Harvesters’ food safety policies

Physical:

• Able to drive an 8-person passenger van
• Able to drive long distances
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly

Soft Skills:

• Effective communication and interaction with Harvesters’ staff, grocery store and other business staff, and volunteers
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
