Defeat Multiple Myeloma is a non-competitive 5K and one mile run/walk to raise awareness of Multiple Myeloma while supporting research that seeks to discover new treatments, improve the quality of life for myeloma patients, and ultimately find a cure for this devastating form of cancer. Held on June 23 at Magnuson Park, the course will take participants on a loop which begins and ends on the shore of beautiful Lake Washington. Defeat Multiple Myeloma is a casual, community driven event which is fun for the whole family.

We love our volunteers and could not do this race without you! We have opportunities that range from early set up, to on-course support, to registration and options for groups too. Each volunteer receives a tech shirt and can participate in all the after-party fun.

An independent event, Defeat Multiple Myeloma is organized by a dedicated group of local volunteers, with support from the Multiple Myeloma Cure Seeker’s Society and benefiting multiple myeloma research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Our lofty goal this year is to raise $100,000 - 100% of fundraised dollars and registration fees will go to multiple myeloma research at Fred Hutch.
