Dog Care Volunteer

Our Dog Care Volunteers take care of our dogs that find themselves at our shelter in St Cloud. Dog Care Volunteers walk the dogs, train them, bathe them, and provide toys and socialization.

You must attend a scheduled group orientation prior to beginning your volunteer adventure. Upcoming orientations can be found on our website at A meet and greet with the Volunteer Coordinator, application, and background check is also required. You must be 18 years of age.

Dog Care opportunities are as follows:
Sundays: Two Sundays a month we have dog handlers for our volunteer professional photography team (Pawsitive Shelter Photography)
Mondays: 12:00 - 2:00; 3:30-4:30
Tuesdays: 10:00-12:00; 3:30-4:30
Wednesdays: 10:00-12:00; 3:30-5:30
Thursdays: 10:00-12:00; 3:30-4:30
Fridays: 10:00-12:00; 3:30-4:30
Saturdays: 10:00-12:30; 12:30-3:00

Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 6 months working approximately 8 hours per month.
