We need someone who is great with words, passionate about helping people in Guatemala and a positive roll model.
Are you passionate about Guatemalan Indigenous cultures, traditions, and languages? Are you interested in perpetuating models of development that empower and engage local communities? If so, you might be just who we at 4 the World are looking for to assist us in amplifying our voice and to explain all the exciting and important work we do in Guatemala to people right here in Raleigh, North Carolina area.
4 the World identifies and collaborates with communities across the globe to empower them to identify and solve the most pressing needs of their communities within the areas of health and education. By partnering with the communities in these areas, we provide critical support and capacity-building initiatives to ensure these communities are capable of continuing to grow and thrive in the future.
Help 4 the World deliver its message to the Guatemalan Spanish speaking community!
As a Social Media/Event Ambassador, you will be responsible for coordinating public speaking, high-quality electronic and print-based marketing communications for 4 the World in the Raleigh NC area, to effectively promote 4TW and its programs in Guatemala.
The ideal candidates (You) have:
- An in-depth knowledge of communication and marketing for non-profit organizations
- Ability to communicate in both Spanish and English
- Experience with effective web and social media strategies
- Strong media relations skills
- Serve as co-spokesperson and messaging master for 4 The World
- Experience managing email lists and email blast communications
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Basic Graphic design skills
You will:
- Develop and implement an online strategy using social media.
- Be responsible for updating content on all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- Work closely with the executive director at public speaking engagement locations.
- Work with appropriate staff to develop and write strategic promotional and informational copy for assigned projects such as brochures, ads, online and other marketing materials.
- Assist Director with Public Affairs.

4 the World On Education
EducationTeachers - Great teachers can do incredible things - not just for students, but for entire communities. We believe educators are the foundation for an empowered community, and aim to provide them with the resources necessary to greater serve their communities.
Students - Regardless of how great the educators may be, many children in our target communities may not have the opportunity to even attend. Education always has a cost, and we aim to provide students with scholarship opportunities that allow children to begin or continue their education to become an empowered member of the community.
Infrastructure - Some of the largest issues facing education systems today are facilities and access to technology. We aim to provide students and educators with a safe learning environment, while also providing them with the modern technology needed for collaborative and progressive learning.
