  • Do You think you could provide companionship for a patient, such as reading, journaling, playing cards, sharing hobbies, and relieving family members and friends?
  • Do You have a special skill that can be used to provide comfort such as Pet Therapist, Massage Therapist, Beautician, or do you play a Musical Instrument?

Kindred Hospice Volunteers provide friendly visits to patients with life-limiting illnesses so that they are able to live out their days as fully as possible. Volunteers are in need to provide friendly visits to read, play music or reminisce with patients. Work is flexible and based on your availability; we are grateful for as much time as you can give.

What is hospice? Hospice is a specialized form of home healthcare for patients with life-limiting illnesses that allows them to live out their days as fully and as comfortably as possible.

The hospice team: Care is provided by a team of skilled, compassionate people, including nurses, hospice physicians, medical social workers, hospice aides, spiritual care coordinators, and volunteers - very special people who dedicate their time to a truly noble cause.

We believe that every moment matters. We believe in compassionate care. Most of all, we believe in dignity and respect for each patient we serve. As a hospice volunteer, you can help ensure that every moment really does matter.
