AGENCY DESCRIPTION:

A Family For Every Child is a nonprofit organization located in Eugene, Oregon. AFFEC’S mission is to find loving, permanent families for every waiting foster child.

JOB SUMMARY:

A Family For Every Child is looking for a volunteer/intern to act as a liaison for families in our database. The individual in this position will become informed on the foster care and adoption systems, as well as how our organization works, and will use this knowledge to respond to any incoming inquiries from families.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer inquiries that come into our database.
  • Act as the direct contact for families with questions about adoption or foster care.
  • Work with Salesforce.
  • Work with our public and private websites.
  • Understand our database well enough to be able to maneuver it and update as needed when dealing with caseworkers, adoption agencies, and family inquiries.

Description

A Family For Every Child, a nonprofit organization, was started by Christy Obie-Barrett and dozens of dedicated and passionate volunteers. In 2006, AFFEC was formed and developed into an organization focused on finding permanent and loving adoptive homes for Oregon's waiting children. We started with our first project called The Heart Gallery in November, 2006, and now we have blossomed into ten incredibly successful programs. None of this could have occurred without the wonderful support from thousands of volunteers, sponsors, in-kind donors, photographers, and many more!
