This volunteer opportunity allows you to serve as a mentor and Reading Buddy to a child in preschool through 3rd grade. The opportunity entails allowing a child to practice reading with a one-on-one volunteer. At the end of each reading segment or session you will ask the child to discuss and review what he or she has just read. This opportunity helps students with reading and comprehension skills. A specific time commitment is required for this volunteer opportunity. A mandatory training session is required for this volunteer opportunity.
