Volunteers Coordinator Needed!!!

We are looking for a volunteer Coordinator who will be accountable for the daily operations of the volunteer department by organizing, implementing and maintaining a volunteer program that supports the volunteer services plan. On-boards and supervises volunteers and ensures staff and volunteers have the knowledge and skills to meet the identified needs and operational responsibilities. Assists in developing goals, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
* Establishes and manages a volunteer program that supports the strategy defined in the volunteer services plan.
* Encourages staff to utilize volunteers and develops new volunteer programs based on needs
* Develops and conducts informational sessions with potential volunteers with appropriate community organizations including schools, youth groups and churches
* Provides leadership by on-boarding and orienting volunteers while providing a welcoming and supportive culture.
* Trains and places volunteers in appropriate assignments providing ongoing assessment and support with regular interactions and encouragement for their continued engagement in the role.
* Offers additional training as needed.
* Clarifies expectations, provides feedback, coaches, manages volunteer competencies, and coordinates volunteer training and annual education.
* Fulfills performance management expectations which may include discipline or discharge
* Engage motivated volunteers with new opportunities, recognition, and deeper levels of commitment
* Assist in maintaining/gathering volunteer tracking information * Maintain/ Update past volunteers contact information.
