West Kempsville Youth Athletics is responsible to our community to develop within the participants an appreciation for sports and the role that sports play in the formation of moral values, good citizenship and community. The primary emphasis shall be on the youth of our community. The basic responsibilities of a coach for WKYA are to teach each participant the fundamentals of the sport, ensure fair play, promote sportsmanship, and ensure the safety of all participants.

Cheer coaches will teach children cheer and dance routines to perform, organize practices, help athletes learn safe cheering techniques, and instruct students on healthy stretching and jumping techniques.

Practices are twice a week with games on Saturdays.
