Community Schools is a Nationally acclaimed program that encourages parental engagement and strong support services while building capacity and an environment allowing children and families to thrive. "Family Diners" and part of this curriculum where elementary school aged children gather with their parents to learn how to prepare a healthy meal and then sit and enjoy dinner together. Voluntters are needed to help prep, cook and serve the dinner.

To address the rising issue of hunger in Rome, NY, Mohawk Valley Community College is launching a volunteer project that will help cut back hunger in Rome and provide individuals with a fufilling community work experience.
