Volunteer Readers are needed for our Early Learners Community Outreach Program. Volunteer Readers visit the pre-schools and daycares in our area to read to the littles. This is a super fun and self-rewarding opportunity.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Literacy Council of Highlands is to enrich lives and expand the knowledge of children, adults and families in Macon County through diverse educational programs that advance literacy in its many forms and to promote lifelong learning, which results in an informed and empowered community.
Description
The Literacy Council of Highlands was incorporated in November of 1993. Now, more than two decades later, The Literacy Council serves hundreds of students per month.
