The IRC LA Volunteer Citizenship and Financial Literacy Instructor will provide the history, civics, and geography skills needed to pass the US Citizenship exam. The citizenship class takes place at the Los Angeles Public Library, Harbor City/Harbor Gateway Branch on Mondays and Wednesday from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.

****All materials and full curriculum (including instructional PowerPoint presentations, workbooks and flashcards) are provided****

REQUIREMENTS


Must be willing to commit to 10 week of classroom instruction
Must be patient and willing to work with students from a variety of backgrounds
Regular access to transportation in order to assure regular attendance at class
Must be willing to follow direction of Citizenship and Financial Capability Coordinator, including maintaining regular communication

Experience in a classroom setting helpful, but not required
