Opportunity description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Public Relations (PR) Assistant to support our PR team with various administrative tasks. Your work will be instrumental in the development and execution of PR plans and strategies.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced person, possibly a retired professional with an interest in non-profit work, writing, theater or women's rights. Good writing and research skills are very important to us. If you’re also well-organized, confident and an excellent communicator, we’d like to hear from you.
The goal is to facilitate the smooth running of our outreach operations and the success of our PR efforts.
Responsibilities- Assist in organizing and execution of campaigns etc.
- Conduct research to support PR planning
- Draft and distribute content such as newsletters and releases
- Suggest ways to create greater PR impact
- Support relations with other similar organisations and media.
Requirements
- Proven experience or educational record with PR activities
- Understanding of PR and marketing concepts and practices
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Well-organized, able to work with deadlines
- An analytical mind with attention to detail
- College or University qualification covering public relations, communications or relevant field
