ORGANIZATION: Teens Exercising Extraordinary Success

The Overtown Music & Arts Festival has been a great success throughout its history because of wonderfully talented and committed volunteers who have shared their time and talent with the Festival. We invite you to join us in volunteering with this community-wide event that benefits not only the City of Miami, but also the entire community of Overtown on Saturday, September 3, 2022!

NOTE: MUST FILL OUT ONLINE APPLICATION. Positions are limited and are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. All volunteers working at the Overtown Music & Arts Festival are NOT covered under the liability insurance policy; all volunteers are required to sign a waiver releasing OMAF and its subsidiaries from all liability for injuries or damages incurred.

Mission Statement

T.E.E.S. was started for the purposes of providing youth with a secure, positive family environment where they can earn trust, self-respect and learn skills to lead to a productive lifestyle free of peer pressure, gangs, and /or drugs. We help youth find their dreams through educational and personal enrichment.

Description

T.E.E.S. hosts Sessions with middle & high school students addressing character development, conflict resolution, peer pressure, and more. In addition we host special community events & workshops for parents, caregivers and teens intended to spark change in the way we communicate while also inspiring, uplifting and educating. Our Community First Fund aids families in times of crisis and to date has disbursed over $1 million dollars in rent, mortgage, utility, financial assistance, groceries, and essential items to families in Houston, South Florida, and most recently North Carolina.
