Our organization is actively seeking 1-2 dedicated administrative assistant volunteers to assist with daily administrative tasks. The duties include but are not limited to making and receiving phone calls, creating forms, managing emails, online filing, data entry, task management, event support, and other day-to-day activities. This person will also be expected to assist the Founder| President and CEO and board of directors with administrative tasks such as printing, copying, appointment setting, etc. The ideal volunteer will be available up to three times a week for 2-4 hours per day. (Days to be determined based on availability). Job Description: Administrative Assistant Reports to: President & CEO Purpose: To support day-to-day operations of non-profit organization and needs of President & CEO. Status: Non-paid Essential Functions: Administrative Support, Special Events, Communications In addition to providing general administrative support as needed, duties may include, but not limited to:

  1. Prepare for Board of Directors meetings by printing agendas, minutes, and other documents
  2. Maintain organizational files and documents
  3. Serve as first point of contact for the organization
  4. Manage donor database
  5. Perform general administrative support
  6. Coordinate community events
  7. Assist with scheduling of tours and field trips
  8. Assist with print and electronic newsletters
  9. Coordinate website updates
  10. Assist with donor communications, including appeal and thank you letters
  11. Coordinate bulk mailings
  12. Maintain organizational archives
  13. Take on additional tasks as directed by the CEO
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Minimum two years related experience; nonprofit experience a plus.
  2. Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
  3. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic work environment.
  4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision.
  5. Solid written and oral communication skills and excellent phone manner.
  6. Ability to develop effective work plans, organize details, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  7. Interest in and commitment to Live2Create mission and values is preferred.
  8. Background Check
  9. Must be at least 18
  10. Orientation or Training
  11. 10-12 hours a week

Our vision is a world where racial disparities and achievement gaps no longer exist for Black students; therefore, our mission is to raise awareness about Black mental health and increase the social and emotional wellbeing of Black students ages 12-22 using the arts and Christian principles. At Live2Create, we believe the arts in and of itself are therapeutic. We also believe that faith is fuel for survival and that something internally happens when you engage in the creative process, whether that’s healing, understanding, acceptance, freedom, or just simply experiencing who you are and who you were created to be.

Live2Create Foundation Network, Incorporated (hereafter Live2Create) is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to promote the social, emotional, cultural, economic, and spiritual wellbeing of Black students ages 12-22 using the arts. It’s generally recognized that the arts play a major role in the development of students' wellbeing and offer a safe place for them to express themselves freely, build confidence and esteem, and tackle various social and life situations without judgment.
