Vision Literacy

Vision Literacy seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. We’re looking for creative individuals with marketing and social media skills to build awareness and support for adult literacy in local communities. You should have amazing communication skills, be super organized and feel comfortable working quickly and independently.

Responsibilities

Designing flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for events.

Take photographs and videos for ongoing projects.

Provide support in sending mailings and invitations.

Update the Vision Literacy website when needed.

Qualifications

Experience in selecting appropriate materials for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter is required.

Proficient using designing tools. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design a plus.

Description

Vision Literacy is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Santa Clara County dedicated to providing free, high-quality classes focused on listening, speaking,reading and writing, English as a Second Language, and computer literacy. We implement the technological resources of the Silicon Valley to effectively teach adults and families the skills they need to succeed and thrive.

In addition to our literacy services, we encourage learners to pursue their personal aspirations -- whether it’s finding a job, starting a business, helping their children with homework, or even publishing a poetry collection by providing skill-based mentoring to help adults achieve their goals.
