About us :
American Dream U is a non-profit organization dedicated toward helping military members transition to civilian life. Through an array of resources such as national events, monthly meetups, various workshops and an education program, American Dream U will continue to offer its free services to members (past or present) of the military to find their future .
W e're looking for an ADU raving Fan to be a role model and mentor to our transitioning Military . Providing a one-on-one partnership to determine a participants next best steps for ADU programs that will complement their post-transition career, personal and developmental goals.
Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and modifying personal plans for ADU program participation.
Assist participant with identifying professional development opportunities.
Support consistent progress in ADU programs using ADU Toolbox.
Perform follow-up activities - such as weekly phone calls - necessary for participants to maintain program timelines.
Support a collaborative and responsive Mentor program culture by participating in ADU events.
Accurately documenting progress and next steps in our ADU CRM software.
Staying informed of new ADU programs and events and how they may complement existing participant plans.
Requirements:
Passion to support the American Dream U brand and participants success.
Minimum commitment of 6 months is required for all volunteer positions.
Weekly commitment of 1 hour per week.
Life experience that will support our transitioning Military and Veterans in navigating their post-transition paths.
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-thru.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to adhere to Mentorship protocols.
Participation in Mentor Training Program.
