Town Cats

  • 57 people are interested
Kitten season means too many kittens and not enough homes.

Volunteers are needed to help take care of our cats at Pet Food Express. This includes cleaning cages and feeding cats at our adoption site. Other duties include cleaning litter boxes, feeding cats, wiping out cages with cleaner, changing bedding, and giving cats free time outside their cages.

Shifts take 2 hours, but the shift must be taken between these hours: 9:30AM-12:00PM or 3:30-7PM. Must be on time and must stay entire time.

While caring for the cats, people are also able to adopt cats. This also requires volunteers to screen potential adopters, willing to say "no" to unqualified adopters, who are familiar with cats, have excellent verbal communication skills, and are good listeners.

Training is provided. Organization is Town Cats of Morgan Hill.

About Town Cats

PO Box 1828, Morgan Hill, CA 95038, US

Mission Statement

Town Cats is a non-profit volunteer-based no-kill cat and kitten adoption center/shelter and feral cat advocacy organization dedicated to enriching the lives of homeless cats and kittens in the south Santa Clara county through an aggressive rescue and adoption program, TNR (trap, neuter, return), and public education.

Town Cats works to alleviate the suffering of stray, abandoned, unwanted, and feral cats in Santa Clara County. We sponsor innovative programs to help cats in traditional shelters in our county, as well as community cats who live outdoors. We educate the public about the cat overpopulation problem, and provide people with the tools to become part of the solution. Town Cats supports individuals who want to help through aggressive spay/neuter and cat care programs, and by providing vet care and cat food to low income cat guardians, fosters, or owners. We also find permanent, safe, and loving homes for the homeless house cats and kittens in our care.
