Spend mother's day or the week before mother's day thanking elderly patients for being mothers, supporting mothers who may not have their children nearby to spend the holiday with.
Activities could include crafts for mother's day, talking with them or reading to patients.
Minors can volunteer as long as a guardian attends a visit with them.
Requirements to begin which are all provided by Homestead Hospice:
1-2 hour orientation
Drug screening
Tuberculosis skin test
