This youth came to the United States in August of 2016. She lives with a host family and her older brother and is in 10 th grade at Potter’s House High School. Her case manager stated, "She is a very strong self-advocate and is compassionate to the needs of others. She is grateful to be in the U.S. and works hard in her education. She attends church regularly, in which she helps with Sunday School and sings in the choir. She is pretty shy/quiet when you first meet her, but she warms up eventually. The youth is eager to learn how to be successful and independent but also has a very strong tie to those she lives with."
