Founded in August 2007, ATAP Family Services is in place to build families: educationally, economically and socially. We believe that one of the ways we will achieve this through the creation of volunteer and professional networks and that will partner with us in the pursuit of building community, family and opportunities that enable growth in all aspects.
Job Description
VOLUNTEER POSITION:
ATAP Family Services Grant Writer is responsible for developing and writing grant proposals to grant-making organizations and will persuasively communicate ATAP’s mission and programs to potential funders/donors. The Grant Writer will assemble and submit grant requests, establish and maintain personal contact and relationships with granter contacts, conduct prospect research, and maintain a calendar of submissions and other deadlines. This position also includes a volunteer to network with local business, organizations building Donations for programs, services to build our families/communities.
This position requires someone who has excellent research, writing, and communication skills, is self-motivated, reliable, organized, thorough and timely. This is a volunteer position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with team to develop and implement an annual development plan/strategy to increase annual grant income
Develop/write grant proposals to foundations and grant-making organizations, persuasively
communicating organization’s mission and programs to potential funders
Assemble/submit grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations
Conduct prospect research
Report progress in grant research, grant submission and outcome to ATAP’s leadership
Qualifications
Previous grant writing and fundraising experience.
Time Commitment: The minimum commitment is an average of 5 hours per week including a weekly meeting and/or phone conference with our Program Director(s)

We have centers all over California and Georgia. All our services are free of charge to all ages.
