Do you love animals? Would you like to know your work has helped pets who have lost their guardians due to death to heal and find new homes? Become a Grant Writer for Hospice Pet Advocates, and know the joys of helping pets find love again!
Hospice Pet Advocates is a non-profit organization founded by health care providers to assist patients facing terminal or life-altering conditions to pre--plan for and rehome their beloved pets. In some instances, pets are abandoned by sudden death or cannot be cared for due to an unforeseen medical event, requiring immediate rescue intervention. We have loving, healthy animals going through transitions that need a short time in good care to heal from owner loss, or get caught up with care needs from unintentional neglect. Once this necessary healing occurs, HPA works with other community organizations (such as Greenhill Humane Society) to get them into the adoption system to find new forever homes.
A new non-profit organization, we are in need of someone to help us write grants, as our major source of funding. Our major expenses are for medical/veterinary expenses incurred with each animal we help.
We have lists of potential organizations to contact, but need your writing skills to actually make the applications. Won't you consider helping us?
