ESL Teachers Needed for Adult Immigrants and Refugees!

Once a week, come and teach English to adult students in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis! If you desire to make a real impact in the lives of immigrants and refugees and have the passion to learn about the diversity of cultures in the twin cities, this opportunity is for you! On site or Virtual orientation will be given. No previous experience required. Trainings and curriculum will be provided.

All of our classes-English, Citizenship, Distance Learning, and Speaking Listening-are taught by a dedicated core of volunteer teachers. In one year, nearly 150 individuals contribute more than 5,000 hours of their time, energy, and talent. As a result, approximately 350 immigrant students’ lives are enhanced and changed per year.

Online and In-person Opportunities
Online Am class hours are 10am - 11:30am/ Online PM is 6pm - 7:30 pm. and
In-person Am hours are 9:30 am - 12:30 pm/ In-person PM is 5:30 pm - 8: 30 pm.

The current need is: Online AM Conversation class: Monday and Thursday Online AM ESL 3: Monday Online AM ESL 6: Thursday Online PM Conversation: Monday and Tuesday Online PM Citizenship: Monday Online PM ESL 3: Thursday Online PM ESL 4: Tuesday and Wednesday In-person AM ESL 1: Tuesday In-person AM ESL 2: Monday In-person AM Speaking/Listening: Wednesday In-person PM ESL 2: Monday and Tuesday In-person PM ESL 5/6: Thursday English class, Conversation, Citizenship, and looking for some volunteers who can be substitutes (on-call subs) for teachers.
