Goal of Role

To assist staff in maximizing the member and youth experience in the basketball gym

Tasks and Activities

· Encourage youth to participate in physical activities

· Ensure all gym users are using language & behavior that reflects the Y Values

· Enforce gym rules (i.e., no food or drinks)

· Keep the gym area clean of trash

· Role model the Y Values

Qualifications and skills desired

· Welcoming, caring attitude

· Must have outgoing, energetic personality

· Ability to run, walk, sit, stand, bend, and reach

· Comfortability initiating conversations with members of all ages

Training and other requirements

· Must pass a background and reference check, and attend volunteer orientation prior to start date.
