Volunteers play an integral part in the success of Woodwinds Health Campus. Their dedication enhances the care we provide our patients and visitors each and every day. In 2017, over 1,000 HealthEast volunteers dedicated nearly 73,000 hours to improve the lives of our patients, each other and the communities we serve.
Woodwinds Health Campus currently has immediate volunteer opportunities as a Patient Unit (call light) volunteer!
Volunteer role purpose:
To assist nursing staff thereby enhancing the patient experience by providing a customer first experience.
Volunteer responsibilities/ Duties:
- Check-in with Charge Nurse or Unit Coordinator for any assigned duties
- Answer call lights and perform needs that are not direct patient care
- Transport patients as needed
- Provide companionship to patients
